Matt Beck
Matt started on piano when he was 5 years old, and at the age of 7, was one of the youngest students ever to be accepted to The Julliard School of Music (Pre-College program). It wasn't long after that he discovered Rock, so at 16, he picked up a guitar and started teaching himself how to play. He started playing in bands in high-school and was accepted to The Manhattan School of Music soon after. He received a Bachelors of Music Degree in Jazz/Commercial music on guitar.
After graduating, Matt started to do some touring. He played guitar for a tour of "The Who's Tommy." for about a year and a half. After that for about two years, he played Guitar and Keyboards for the tour of "Rent."
He currently resides in New York and plays guitar and keyboards for Matchbox 20 and Lisa Loeb and Nine Stories. Other instruments Matt plays are B3, Mandolin, Banjo, Baritone Guitar, Lap-Steel, Dobro, Bass, Cavaquinho as well as Vocals.
